Privacy policy
What data El Mundo de los Repuestos keeps, what it uses it for, and who can see it.
Last updated: November 2, 2026.
- You do not need an account or any personal data to search.
- For shops we keep the account, the company details, and the inventory. The company contact details are public: they are how buyers reach the shop.
- We do not sell data and we do not show ads on the site.
- We measure how the site is used on our own servers, without storing the IP in that measurement. Only on the shop registration page, Meta receives that visit to measure the ad.
If you only search
- The language you choose is kept in your session, with a site cookie.
- The appearance (automatic, light, or dark) is kept in your browser and is cleared when you close the tab.
- If you search by VIN, that number is sent to the US NHTSA vehicle service to find out which vehicle it belongs to.
- As with any website, the server receives your connection’s IP address when it serves each page.
Site use
To see which pages are used and how many visits there are, the site stores a summary of each page view in its own database: the path, the site that linked you here (domain only), the browser and operating system by name, the device type, the language, and how long the server took to respond.
- We do not store your IP address in that measurement: it is used briefly for counting and then discarded.
- We do not use analytics cookies. To count visits without identifying you, the IP, the browser, and a secret value that is replaced every day are combined irreversibly; the previous day’s identifier cannot be recomputed after that.
- If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, we do not measure that visit.
- Detailed records are deleted after 30 days; what remains are totals only (for example, how many times a page was opened in a month).
If you publish
When you sign up and use the panel we keep:
- The account: name, email, password (hashed, nobody can read it), language, country, and the appearance you choose.
- The company: name, the RNC if you enter it, contact person, phone, email, website, country, city, address, opening hours, and the map pin if you place it.
- The inventory: the parts, their photos, and their publication status.
- The subscription: the PayPal identifier, the plan, the status, and the start and next billing dates.
We use this data to show your parts, so buyers can contact you, to apply your plan’s limits, and so the administrator can review listings.
What is public and what is not
Each part page and your shop page show the company name, the contact person, the phone, the company email, the website, the city, the address, the opening hours, and the map, if you filled them in. Only what you fill in is shown.
The email you log in with, the password, the RNC, where a part sits inside your workshop, and the subscription details are not shown.
Payments
The subscription is paid on PayPal. Your card or PayPal account details are handled by PayPal; this site does not receive or store them.
External services
To work, the site uses these services. Your browser or the server connects to them:
- PayPal, for shop subscriptions.
- Brevo, to send the email that confirms the account.
- NHTSA, to identify a VIN.
- OpenStreetMap, to draw the shop map.
- jsDelivr, unpkg, and DataTables, which deliver interface code and receive the browser’s IP address.
- Google reCAPTCHA, on the registration form, to reject automated sign-ups. Google receives the IP address and browser data.
- Meta (Facebook), only on the shop registration page, through the Meta pixel. Meta receives that page, the IP address, and browser data, and may store a cookie (
_fbp). It is not on the rest of the site.
Cookies
The site uses the cookies it needs to work: the session cookie, which keeps you logged in,
one that remembers the last language you chose, and the security cookie that protects forms.
On the registration page, the Meta pixel may store a tracking cookie (_fbp).
On registration, the Google reCAPTCHA checkbox may store a cookie of its own.
Your data
- You correct your company and account details from Profile, in the panel.
- You can delete your parts and their photos at any time.
- To close the account and delete your data, ask the administrator of the platform.
If this policy changes, we publish the new version here with its date. The rules for publishing are in the terms of use.
